The staff were lovely and helped move us to a room that worked better for someone with mobility issues. They understood that stairs and stepping over a bath to shower weren't suitable. The room and foyer are pleasant, and the bar area is nice for a casual meal. I've eaten at the restaurant before and always found it very good. The rooms need more thought, though. My husband had no bedside table, there were only two small towels and no proper towel rail, just a hand towel rail. There was no bath mat on the slippery tiles, which seems like a fall risk. Toiletries were sparse, with no toothbrush or toothpaste. The overhead shower had no cap, and the mini fridge was completely empty. When I asked, I was told they'd stopped the minibar a long time ago. After a long trip, having to go out for a drink or snack is a real inconvenience. There were only two English breakfast teabags and plenty of green tea, which I don't drink. These things should be easy to fix. I would recommend the hotel for its staff, room and lovely foyer, but the in-room details let it down.

I was here for two nights on a business trip. Check-in went smoothly and the room looked nice, though the balcony was so tiny I had to go back inside to change my mind about using it. Sleeping wasn't comfortable because the sheets were queen size on a king bed and didn't fit. The shower pressure was awful, and the temperature changed with the slightest adjustment. There was no Wi-Fi, or at least no instructions for connecting, and housekeeping took my towels without replacing them, so I had to call for more. The food was okay. I'd like to see a couple of healthier light choices in the bar or restaurant, since not everyone wants carbs and fats for breakfast or dinner. The hotel is good, but the rooms and service need improvement.

My support worker and I stayed overnight for the first time, in rooms 308 and 309. The apartment-style room was spacious and comfortable, with a double bed, sofa, desk, flat-screen TV and a small bar/kitchen. It also had a balcony, bath, shower, toilet and double vanity. There's parking in the basement beneath the hotel.

The staff were so warm and helpful that I felt at home. The room was spacious and really comfortable, with a balcony too. There are two supermarkets nearby, which makes things easy, and the hotel has three bikes guests can borrow to cycle around the city. I'd definitely recommend it.

Good location and friendly reception staff. There weren't enough towels in the room, and the extra ones took a while to arrive. The young man delivering them came in without knocking while my partner was naked. The place is being renovated at the moment, which should freshen it up.
