SCAM ALERT My partner and I booked two months ahead and got online confirmations, then found out just an hour before check-in that the booking had been cancelled because of overcapacity. We had to pay a fortune for a last-minute place. We've made over 60 calls to the hotel with no answer and have seen no sign of a refund. I'll be taking this further with the ombudsman and consumer affairs. Dodgy business.

Warning, don't stay here. We booked and paid three months ahead, but they cancelled the night before, saying guests were staying longer. That explanation didn't seem true to us. It was grand final weekend, so it felt like they were after the extra money. We booked through qantas and were very disappointed with the accommodation. When we tried calling, nobody answered and we were left on voicemail. If you want your money taken, this is the place to go. NEVER EVER STAY THERE.

The room was grubby, with a mouldy bathroom and no windows at all. One door had a hole that had just been plastered over. We booked four bedrooms and got them, but only three beds had a doona, while the rest had sheets only. There was just one key for the room.

Someone in our party had to attend a funeral and couldn't arrive with the rest of us. Since the unit was in their name, we weren't allowed in until they got there. Even though we'd paid for the apartment, we were left waiting on the street until around 10pm. Pretty poor customer service.
