Moonlight Bay Apartments

The rooms were clean, reasonably equipped, and accommodating. In the unit beside the street, though, we could hear people talking on the footpath while we were in bed, so the walls and windows could use better soundproofing. The location has its upsides and downsides. It’s close to the beach and shops, but also beside a pedestrian mall where young people gathered, played music, and set off fireworks until 2 in the morning, when police came. That happened both nights.

The rooms we booked were very clean, but we all woke up with sore backs. The beds were rock hard, the worst we’ve ever slept on, and the pillows weren’t any better.

After a trip to the local hot springs, my daughter, who was visiting from Scotland, and her husband needed somewhere to unwind, so I booked the apartment for one night. Check-in was smooth and professional, and the concierge was very helpful. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, just what they needed after the luxury spa treatments. In the morning, the beach was only 200m away, and guests could also use the inviting pool on site. Recommended location.

The location is amazing, and the staff are nice. Our room was okay, but the bed was uncomfortable, with springs digging into our back on one side. I’d give the place 3.5 stars if that were an option. We had extremely noisy neighbours both nights and couldn’t sleep before 2am. We told reception, and they said they’d spoken to them, but the noise carried on the second night. I know that isn’t the property’s fault, but it still affected our stay. We’re exhausted and didn’t feel rested after our mini holiday, so we may not return.
