The room was generally clean, though the toilet's back needed dusting, the ceiling fan vent and window sills needed cleaning, and the fly screen had a hole that needed patching. It was quaint rather than modern, but clean overall. Staff were busy preparing and restocking the room when I had to rebook the same room at short notice before 2 pm, and they were very friendly and helpful. They also found and returned an item I'd lost. It's close to RMH, and the IGA isn't far away. Goggle may send you the long way around, but it's really less than five minutes from RMHospital. I'd definitely stay there again.

No lift, but the location is handy for the major hospitals, buses, trams and trains, with plenty of good food nearby. The rooms are small, quiet and clean, and have what you might need.

My father and son-in-law stayed for two nights, January 12 and 13. The rooms were well set up and good value for a city motel. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. If I visit Melbourne again, I wouldn't bother looking elsewhere.

The price was 15-20% lower than a regular hotel, and breakfast included a small selection, though you'll need to buy more food later. There was free parking, and the CBD was close enough to walk to. The building and room felt old, with wallpaper coming off. Cleanliness was poor: the kettle, hair dryer and air conditioner weren't clean, and the toilet exhaust fan was noisy. The water had an odd smell, and no drinking water was provided. Checkout is before 10 am.
