Barkly Apartments

The hotel was clean and peaceful, and our room had lots of space and was fully equipped. Everything we needed was close by, with bars and restaurants just a few minutes away. My family and I loved staying here and will definitely come back.

We’re on our third night and will continue our trip after this. The location is amazing, close to everything, and the apartment is clean and functional. The bed is comfortable, and it’s made with fresh towels provided daily. There’s plenty of storage if you want to unpack. The white goods work, but look very old, and the place could use some decorating. It’s basic, not luxury, and I wouldn’t rate it four stars. The kitchen is short on things, with only one teaspoon and one wine glass, for example.

It’s nothing fancy and has no real facilities, but we only needed a place to sleep. The room was clean and comfortable, the bed was fine, and the shower worked. It’s quite old, but the price was cheap, and it did what the listing said it would. Clean and functional, so four stars.

The manager offered us the only other room, upstairs, but we stayed in ours and opened the windows. The smoke smell throughout the room, curtains included, didn’t improve. We found stains and something else on a blanket in the closet that hadn’t been cleaned. The manager said this was unacceptable and would show the owner, but we never heard back. There were cigarette butts and empty drink cans just outside the window, and the place needs a major refurbishment. I won’t stay again.
