Bungunyah Apartments

The house was cosy and welcoming, and the rooms were very clean. The location worked well for us, but the value for the price wasn’t great. We paid hotel rates for a 10-day stay for four adults, yet got only one towel per person and two paper towels, with no iron. We went in summer, and the rooms got very hot. The air conditioning was only in the dining room, and there was just one small fan for two rooms. At those prices, I expected a bit more.

Bungunyah has become our home away from home, and we’ll choose it whenever we visit Melbourne in future. We’ve stayed at many AirBnb's and VRBO's in the Eastern suburbs near where I grew up, but this has been our best stay so far. We spent three weeks at Bungunyah in Cotton 3, and the accommodation matched its description and photos. The beds were comfortable, everything was super clean, there were lots of towels, and the patio furniture made the outdoor space lovely. Management and the owner were extremely responsive. Our flight from the USA arrived at the crack of dawn, so Henriette kindly arranged a very early check-in, and we appreciated the welcome basket. It’s conveniently close to Croydon shopping center and the Dandenong ranges. There’s a quick train ride to the city, a short drive to a nearby wildlife sanctuary, and the beach is a 45-minute drive away.

We were well looked after throughout our family’s nearly three-month stay at Bungunyah, and we loved it. Sean and Henriette are accommodating hosts who communicate really well.

Henriette took the service up a level during my stay, and I could see the care Sean and Tracey (owners) put into their beautiful apartments. These fully serviced apartments were beautifully clean and luxurious, with everything I needed for a home away from home. Their location is great too, within walking distance of shops and station.
