Central Melbourne 2br2bt APT on Collins St+parking

I spent 12 nights here and really enjoyed it. The staff were very nice, the building had a good Ambiance, and my wife was happy with how clean the room was. My room also had the best view, and I loved watching the New Year fireworks. The apartment’s location is great, about three minutes from the train, which gives you free access to everything you need in the city.

The team were kind, quick to respond and helpful throughout, and made everything feel easy and stress-free. The apartment was comfortable and beautiful, just as described, and even better in person. I felt well looked after and would absolutely return. Highly recommend for a Melbourne visit.

The room itself was clean and as expected, but the way we were treated left us feeling unwelcome. We arrived early in the morning and asked to leave our luggage at the entrance. There seemed to be space, but we were told it wasn’t possible and had to wait outside until the room was ready. At checkout, it happened again in a different way: we weren’t allowed to wait in the lobby for even an hour and felt like second-class guests. The experience left us feeling awful. If you’re travelling as a family with kids and lots of luggage, this may not be the best choice. You don’t want to encounter such an unwelcoming attitude on vacation.

The harbor view from our balcony was a real highlight, and on New Year’s Eve we watched an incredible fireworks display from our own patio. Coming from America in winter, sitting outside in 75°F weather over the water felt unreal. We also enjoyed the warm but comfortable summer weather, nearby beach, and the trees and flowers around Victoria. We’re from the Chicagoland area, where it was cold and snowy. We stayed in Unit 1207 at 915 Collins Street, Docklands, after arriving in Victoria just after Christmas. The airport pickup went smoothly, with a friendly, professional driver and a spotless van. Our two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment had a full kitchen and laundry, and was clean, modern and well set up for a short or extended stay. There’s a grocery store within walking distance, and we stocked up on breakfast food, fruit and snacks. Lots of good restaurants are walkable too. We felt safe walking around day and night. The free transfer and local bus were useful, and Melbourne’s trams were clean, safe and easy to use. The apartment was also a comfortable place to relax or have guests after sightseeing. We took trips to Phillip Island to see the famous penguins, and to a local zoo for koalas, and walked nature trails with kangaroos, walabees, cockatoos and blue, red and green parrots. The stay exceeded our expectations for location, comfort, views, transport and safety. We’d gladly return and recommend it to visitors to Melbourne.
