Cosmopolitan Hotel and Apartments

It’s an older property, but it’s been maintained quite well, and I’d definitely stay again. Our room was much bigger than I expected, with a comfortable bed. Although it faced Carlile St, noise wasn’t really a problem. We paid for parking, but the area was spacious and we had an allocated spot, so we could come and go. The location is ideal for Luna Park, the Palais Theatre, and Acland St, with public transport very close by.

Free parking and a wallet-friendly price made this a very pleasant surprise at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in St Kilda, Melbourne. The reception team were genuinely lovely, helpful, and welcoming without overdoing it. The room was old, but that was expected for what I paid. It was clean and very spacious, with a big TV, decent Wi-Fi that was a bit weak at times but manageable, and a clean bathroom where everything worked despite its age. The location is fantastic, and the room size is brilliant. At this price, free parking felt almost like a miracle. My only real issue was finding coffee at 7 AM. There was nowhere decent nearby, so I went to Ground by Yusef. A small flat white cost six Aussie dollars, took ages, and was just fine, nothing special. It woke me up, but not my soul. Great people, good value, and a great stay. I’d happily return, but bring my own morning coffee next time.

The two-room apartment was good value, with nicely sized rooms, comfortable beds, and everything very clean. It’s perfectly located for a visit to St Kilda. We’ll definitely stay here again when we’re in Melbourne.

The location was great, and the people at reception were friendly and helpful. The room, though, felt very dated and worn, and it wasn't especially clean. Parking cost $25 a day, which seemed excessive when it could have been part of the room price.
