Check-in was easy, and the reception staff were accommodating and helpful with our questions. The apartment suited our family, with enough utensils to cook and its own laundry facilities. The only issues were a smell when we first entered and a bathroom that needed a deep clean. Deeper breakfast bowls would also be useful.
We paid a price that will bring us back. The beds were extremely soft and comfortable, and we had a perfect night’s sleep. The two-bedroom apartment was enormous as soon as we walked in. Its lounge was modern, with a great-sized, comfortable couch. The kitchen looked very dated, but had what you’d need for a longer stay. The bath and shower were combined, and getting in and out felt slippery and challenging, even for someone young.
We had a great stay with our two daughters, just spending some quality time together. Our two-bedroom corner apartment had a lovely view, good-sized bedrooms and enough space for everyone. It had everything we needed, and parking was a breeze. The bathroom was basic but functional. The rooms felt very grey, so I’d suggest adding some colour and warmth. Breakfast had a fair buffet choice, but the coffee was cold. The staff were really lovely, and I’ll definitely return.
I felt dirty and gross for the whole stay and couldn’t wait to leave. There were stains on the sofa bed, its sheet, the hand towels, towels and sheets in every room. The bath and shower had hair in them, the toilet bowl was broken, and dead flies or mosquitoes were on the ceiling. There was rubbish and a charm bracelet under the sofa bed, so it clearly hadn’t been cleaned. The staff were completely useless, didn’t clean the room or make the beds properly, and failed to remove the same hair we deliberately left in the bathroom to see if they would clean it. I travel monthly with my family and have stayed in ancient hotels all over the world that were still clean. I’ll never stay here again or recommend this place. I hate it.
The front desk service started well. We arrived well before check-in, and the receptionist handled the paperwork quickly, stored our luggage so we could explore, and called when the room was ready earlier than expected. The apartment was well insulated from outside noise, and its air conditioning kept the whole place cool on a hot day. Housekeeping had missed basic supplies. There wasn’t enough toilet paper in the bathroom or any in the cupboards. When I went back to reception, a male staff member told me to look under the cupboards, though I’d already checked thoroughly. There was no hand wash either, so we had to add water to the wall-mounted bottle to make it lather. That evening, the bathroom had conditioner but no shampoo or body wash. At 9pm, our choices were another trip to reception or waiting for someone to come to the room, which felt intrusive. These are basic things I’d expect in a room costing $300 a night. There was also a large piece of broken glass on the floor in the children’s bedroom, a serious safety concern. Along with the missing supplies, it points to problems with room inspection and cleaning. The front desk service was excellent, but Mantra needs to review its housekeeping and quality checks. Disappointing. Room 607, 09/01/26.
