Copper Lantern Motel

We were all happy with our few days here over New Year. There were three adults in the room, which was clean, and the courtyard was cute. The location was convenient too. Before check-in, Lexy sent a helpful, lovely message. We felt safe knowing she and the staff were just a call away if we needed anything. We'll come back.

Lex was quick to sort out our TV. I texted her when we couldn't get it working, and she was at our door within ten minutes, fantastic service. The rooms are tastefully decorated, though a couple of finish details could be better, like where the bathroom flooring meets the wall and the join between the room and bathroom. It's great for a short stay, with shops and restaurants within walking distance. I'd stay here again if I'm in the area.

Lexy made check-in and check-out easy, and she was incredibly friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful overnight visit, with a spacious, spotless room that had everything we needed, including a large TV, microwave, toaster, kettle, cutlery, and bowls. The bed was comfortable, and having three beds worked perfectly for our family. The shower had strong pressure and plenty of hot water. The beach is right across the road, and shops are only a three-minute walk away: a supermarket, fish and chip shop, Thai restaurant, newsagent, and laundry. There’s a small courtyard with tables, chairs, and a BBQ, which was a nice place to relax outside. We’d definitely recommend it and hope to return during the school holidays.

On our anniversary trip, the manager mixed up our rooms and then blamed us for the mistake. She made excuses and said we should have checked with her that we had the right room. Since when is it the customer's job to make sure staff have done their work correctly? The staff member wasn't apologetic and was very rude.
