Emerald Ridge

We had a really pleasant stay, with plenty of amenities and a pantry that was very well stocked. The autumn foliage made the place especially beautiful near winter, and feeding the ponies was fun. Highly recommend.

We’d definitely come back. The clean, well-equipped kitchen had everything we needed for breakfasts and dinners, and fresh eggs were available. We could even head to the chicken coop to collect more. The home looks out over a farm, where we enjoyed feeding the ponies and seeing the horses, guinea pigs, and chickens. It’s in a beautiful spot, and we were excited to catch a distant glimpse of an Eastern Rosella since we’re not from Australia.

The veranda views were stunning, and we loved having a sunny little garden beside the cottage. During our four nights we could feed hay to the horses, wander the lovely grounds among the other animals and lush gardens, and relax in the sunshine. Waking to birdsong and seeing the Kookaburra catch worms in the early morning was a treat. The cottage was sensational, and breakfast provisions were more than we could have expected: fresh farm eggs, bacon, cereals, fresh bread and milk, juices, pancakes, and more. On a rainy Sunday, the sparkling wine and chocolate were very welcome. We had a wonderful start to our three week holiday in south Australia, and this beautiful property, with its great location and facilities, has set the bar high. Thank you, Rebecca, for making it such a pleasant home for a few days. We’ll recommend it and would return when we next stay in Melbourne.

The veranda was such a relaxing place to sit and take in the view and animals. We also really appreciated the breakfast supplies and bottle of wine. The cottage was beautiful, sparkling clean, comfortable, and quiet. We’d love to come back. Thanks so much.
