Fraser Place Melbourne

The kitchenette was perfect for my work trip, so I didn't use the restaurant. The location was great, and the room was clean and comfortable. My sleep was completely fine, though I could clearly hear construction outside when I went back one afternoon to make private calls. A little more soundproofing on the windows might help, but it wouldn't matter much if you're out during the day. I saw comments about the water, but our shower was hot and had no issues.

We stayed for two nights over Easter 2018, and the price seemed reasonable for me and my friend sharing a room with two single beds. The staff were very accommodating, and the room matched the photos. We had a big, nice shower and a balcony looking into the small alley, with pleasant views. There's a gym in the hotel, and it's right in the city with tram access just a few metres away. Parking is across the road for a flat fee of $25, if I remember correctly. You have to validate the ticket at reception. Really nice place, highly recommended for a great time in Melbourne.

We got in quite late, around 22.30, and someone was still at the front desk to welcome us. The staff were helpful, and the rooms were tidy and clean. The bathroom was elegant and clean too. The bedding was comfortable, and you can ask for different pillows to suit your preference. One drawback was the very noisy AC in our room. Also, the shower tray leaked at one corner, leaving some water on the bathroom floor. We told reception, and it could likely be fixed soon.

The room service was really nice. They did the dishes and replaced everything each day, including the products for the washing and drying machine. The room had a kitchen with a microwave, cooktop, sink, dishwasher and frigobar. Everything felt well made, tasty and good quality. The location is awesome, right in the free tram zone, so you can get around the city without paying for a tram. The central air conditioner made a little noise, but it didn't bother me.
