My friend and I have never stayed in a worse hostel. We were meant to check in at 2 pm, but our beds weren't ready for another four hours. They said they'd overbooked, and the previous guest hadn't left. The 24-bed dorm was in a shocking state. Cables were strewn across the floor, there was nowhere to put your things, and the floors were so dirty your feet turned black if you walked barefoot. The whole place looked and smelled neglected, and that seemed to rub off on the guests' respect for it too. They only take cash, so you're stuck using the fee-charging ATM. The bathroom taps were all leaking, something other reviewers had mentioned months earlier, with no sign it had been fixed. The kitchen was almost impossible to use. No cups, forks or spoons, just a tray of plastic knives and one metal bowl that couldn't go in the microwave. The pots had no handles, and the few frying pans were in terrible shape. We weren't told anything about the free breakfast, either. The beds themselves were comfortable enough, but I wouldn't recommend staying here unless you have no other option.
