The hotel looks appealing on paper, with a spacious room, pool and good location, but our experience left us feeling the place should be avoided. After booking, extra conditions appeared. Late check-in wasn't available without an extra charge, though no amount was given, and parking cost another $20 per day on top of the listed total. A new line also appeared saying the pool, wellness and gym area weren't available, while the price stayed the same. The booking terms on Booking said reservations couldn't be cancelled. Still, when I was in hospital and had documents to prove it, I expected they might allow cancellation with a fee. We would have accepted charges, but the hotel simply said no. I then tried to move the reservation to any weekend in 2025, but nothing worked, as if bookings were blocked. On the phone they said I had to change the dates on the site, even after I explained the site wasn't working. The people on the line were very unpleasant too. It felt like everything was being done to make sure the booking was lost.

The lady was really friendly and helpful, and the place was easy to get to. It's in a great part of Melbourne, so I highly recommend it.
