The room worked for a night when all we needed was a bed. The rate was cheap for an overnight stay, but I wouldn’t stay longer. The linen put me off a bit, and the towels looked and felt like they came from someone’s own cupboard. The front desk attendant was really friendly and helpful. The location was great for the show at MCG/Rod Laver Arena, and we could walk there and back. The train station was two minutes away, with a 7/11 and cafe nearby.

There’s some wear and tear, but this was a handy place to stay for an event at Rod Laver. It was clean and affordable, with easy check-in, a simple key system and secure locks. I’ll book again.

The location near the MCG was the only bonus. The apartment was old and dated, and the whole place felt grotty and dirty. The bathroom needed a proper clean. Our room wasn’t freshened up, and no fresh towels were put out during our two-day stay. The website photos looked nothing like the rooms.

The hotel was clean, handy for everything, and tucked into a quiet neighbourhood just around the corner from the MCG. We were really pleased with the price and service too. The man at reception even offered to carry our bags. There’s no lift, so it may not work well for older guests.
