Keepers Cottage was spacious, comfortable, beautifully presented and really well equipped. The grounds are roomy and park-like, which was excellent for our dogs. It's also well placed for exploring the Dandenongs by car, with Proserpino Bakehouse just a short walk away for coffee or breakfast, and Sasafras an easy walk too. We had a truly delightful stay.

We were given a small continental breakfast hamper and enough coffee for a couple of days, though we had to get our own supplies after that. The gatehouse cottage is a cute, cosy place that feels just the right size for two, with a comfortable bed and a shower, kitchen and spa all in great condition. Sassafras is about a 10-minute walk via the Grandview Grove shortcut, but coming back that way means a steep uphill climb. All in all, a lovely getaway in the hills, especially for honeymooners or anyone after a quiet stay for two.

The breakfast and open fire were highlights of our stay at the Gate House Spa Cottage. It was cosy, beautifully furnished and had everything we needed. We had an amazing time and will be back. Kindest, Erica.
