The reception staff were lovely, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The room was spacious and well located, yet the hygiene was abysmal for a supposed 4 star hotel. There was obvious mould above the shower and under the sink in a bathroom that looked about 15 years out of date. Dirt and grime filled the corners, the walls were stained, and one light didn’t work. The shower over the bath felt unsafe and, I imagine, would be inaccessible for many people. Dust covered the bedroom countertops, and the blinds and walls throughout were marked with dirt or fingerprints. The kitchen appliances felt dated, and the old, mismatched utensils were dirty and had food on them when we first went to use them. They need replacing. I’m genuinely unsure whether the apartment had been cleaned before we arrived, and think the place would benefit from new cleaning staff.

The rooms are huge and have kitchens, and there’s a washer and dryer in each room. The internet was good, and for the space and price it’s a decent fit if you only need a roof over your head. The location is fantastic too. Reception did the job, though the interaction felt rather soulless. Most rooms get very little natural light, which is especially noticeable with Melbourne’s cloudy weather. Construction right next door makes it extremely noisy during the day. I usually sleep well and am used to noise, but this gave me a headache. Because of the dim light and construction noise, I wouldn’t recommend it.

We’re still here on our last night of a three-night stay in a two-bedroom apartment, and our 19 year old just came out of his room holding knickers he found under the bed. That was the last straw. I wanted to email the owners properly with our complaints, but this is ridiculous. There were dirty cotton tips under our bed and what looked like Temu order packaging. I’m trying not to think about what might have been in it, and hoping it had nothing to do with the lace knickers with busted sides. When I lifted the bedding, the linen had horrendous stains. There’s dust everywhere, something splattered on the walls, and hair on the bathroom floor. This apartment is disgusting and horrifying. We paid over $400 per night. It looks like it was never cleaned.

Good stay, but communication could be better. Towels didn’t arrive every day, and I had to chase them up myself. The woman at the front desk didn’t give much information about what they do or don’t provide. The coffee machine and stove vent weren’t working, though the shower was good. Maybe I’d stay again.
