Punthill Sunshine

The apartment was spotless, well arranged and had everything we needed. It felt comfortable and homely, and the whole stay was better than we expected. The reception team welcomed us warmly and were helpful from the moment my parents and I arrived. Housekeeping were professional and attentive too. We'd happily choose Punthill Apartment Hotels – Sunshine again if we visit Sunshine, and recommend it to families or anyone after a pleasant, comfortable stay.

For 11 nights, this was a convenient place to stay. The room was sparkling clean and had all the essentials, including a washer and dryer, oven, microwave and dishwasher. Staff were friendly and helpful. Sunshine station is about five minutes away, and SkyBus access was easy too.

I was unable to stay at the property for part of my booking after a serious car accident left me injured, including a sprain and back complications. It was documented, unforeseen and beyond my control. I explained the situation and acted in good faith, but there was no flexibility or consideration for the unused nights. I know cancellation policies exist. Still, how a host responds to an extraordinary emergency says a lot about their care. If you're booking here, be aware that a medical emergency or other serious, unexpected situation may not bring understanding or accommodation beyond the strict policy. I'll leave it to future guests to decide what they make of that.

I spent almost half a year there during the period when long-term stays were offered. It made life much easier. The rooms were comfortable and stocked with the essentials, the staff were always friendly, and it was close to the train station and just a short walk from the shops.
