Silverleaf Cottage

The quiet, out-of-the-way setting and closeness to the beach were the main positives for me. But when we arrived at 2pm, the room still wasn't fully ready. We called and texted to ask about it, and were told I had apparently cancelled the stay. I hadn't, so being told I was “lucky” the room was still available felt like a poor choice of words. On the first night we didn't notice anything, but the second night there was a pile of black specks at the end of the bed. They looked like a mix of bugs and lint, which wasn't what we wanted to find on a romantic getaway. I was disappointed and don't expect I'll return.

We came in July for a proposal, and this was the perfect spot for it. Bernadette was flexible and incredibly helpful. The place is spotless, tidy, and unlike anywhere else for a romantic stay. It feels absolutely magical, and we'll be back!

I'm so grateful we got to stay here. You've made a truly magical, romantic place, and every part of our stay was perfect. We can't wait to come back sometime.

I'm very unhappy that the owner threw away something I'd accidentally left behind. I messaged as soon as I remembered it, but she had already disposed of it without asking me. That felt like a real lack of respect for guests.
