StayCentral - Fitzroy Converted Warehouse Penthouse

A leafy rooftop warehouse right in the middle of Fitzroy’s action, what’s not to like? The apartment and balcony are so large and open, it was the perfect safe haven during covid. I loved the kitchen and ended up using it a lot, while also enjoying support for the many local businesses in the Fitzroy community that were shifting to home delivery and takeaways. Wandering the streets with takeaway coffees and checking out the local grafitti was a treat. Great stay, definitely recommend.

I stayed with family in this amazing two-storey converted warehouse earlier this year, and it was a delight. It’s unique and really spacious, with owners who’ve put a lot of care into the decor and furnishings. I especially loved the left king bedroom overlooking the living area below. The large patio is on the top level, surrounded by Fitzroy’s eclectic character and history. I’ve stayed at several StayCentral properties over the years, and this one had the same attention to detail from StayCentral and its staff.

We had a great time exploring Melbourne, with cafes and restaurants nearby and an easy tram ride into the city from Smith St. Staying in Fitzroy was lovely, especially the Penthouse. Its views stretched across the skyline, city lights, inner-suburb homes, and green spaces.

I was here during the Covid19 quarantine, and having room to spread out, sunlight, and a warm, comfortable place made being mostly indoors much easier. The deck was great for solo evening dance parties under the moon. I’m really grateful I found it. The apartment feels like a home, with plants and art, and has wide open views, including a great look at Melbourne's CBD skyline from the bathroom. It’s spacious, bright, comfortable, and well equipped. There’s a great shower, a separate tub, comfortable beds, and bedroom blinds that block the light. Major streets with just about everything are only minutes away on foot. I’d recommend this place without hesitation.
