Summers Holiday Inn

We stayed for New Year's 2020 with friends while attending an event in the city, and pretty much had the whole floor to ourselves. The inn was cosy and comfortable, and the staff and owners were amazing. You can relax there or head out to explore Melbourne. I didn’t expect Netflix in the room, which was a nice surprise. They supplied air conditioning, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, a toothbrush and toothpaste, hairdryers, a water bottle, a powerblock, and more. There’s plenty more I could say about how nice it was. I’d stay again without hesitation. A small drinks fridge and a bathroom mat might make it perfect, but I’m really nitpicking.

Summer and Fiona made us feel so welcome and were incredibly kind as hosts. Fiona even gave us breakfast for free, and looked after us throughout our stay. The location is great, with public transport nearby and plenty of restaurants just around the corner. The beds were comfortable, the furniture was new, and the lounge area was lovely. I don’t usually leave reviews, but this is the best place I’ve stayed in Melbourne. We’ll definitely come back for another holiday.

The rooms were clean, cosy, spacious, and very affordable. It’s a relaxed, welcoming place, and the staff did a lot to make us comfortable. There’s a great bar, and the location is handy for public transport and markets. Highly recommended for a short or long stay. Gavin.

The hosts are some of the kindest people you’ll meet, and the atmosphere is wonderful. I had an amazing stay and would recommend staying here, or just popping in for a drink.
