The lifts seem to break down constantly, and Airbnb cleaners with trolleys are often in the lobby, clogging the lifts and common areas. These repeated disruptions add to the feeling that the building isn’t fully managed, and affect convenience and safety. During early mornings, access and intercom problems seem to remain unresolved, while attention appears to go to less critical matters. Management can seem more focused on appearance and minor details than safety, and on office work rather than engaging visibly with people coming into the building. That leaves residents feeling unsafe and unheard. I rely on management and concierge being present every day, so I want to share concerns for anyone considering living here. The building advertises 24/7 management and concierge, but for over a year that hasn’t consistently matched what I’ve experienced. Several times between 7:00-8:00am there’s been no management staff visible in the lobby or office. Sometimes a cleaner is there, but I don’t know whether they’re expected or trained to respond to emergencies. It makes me wonder how incidents would be handled at those hours. The late-night concierge presence is concerning on both weekdays and weekends, and has been for a long time. Near midnight, staff don’t seem clearly visible, can stay behind screens for extended periods, and rarely acknowledge people passing through common areas. With so much foot traffic and the front entry door constantly open, someone who doesn’t belong could easily tailgate in. There’s also activity nearby from people who may be affected by substances or have come from other locations, along with recent incidents in the area. I truly feel unsafe at these hours, and the lack of engagement adds to that concern. For a building this size and in this location, more consistent and visible concierge service would likely give people greater confidence and peace of mind. I’m sharing this constructively to encourage improvement, speak for those who may feel too intimidated to raise concerns, and help prospective tenants make an informed decision.

The intercom problem has been going on for weeks and affects a lot of residents, but people asking for updates on an essential service are met with silence or dismissal. When I called to express genuine frustration, building management abruptly ended the call. That only made things worse and felt completely unprofessional. Residents deserve basic courtesy, clear communication, and someone taking responsibility. This experience fell well short of that.

Nigel made moving into The Fifth Apartments much easier. He was friendly, quick to respond, and really helpful throughout the process. I appreciated the support a lot, thank you, Nigel!

The location was good, but we won't be returning. Our apartment at 5th Apartments was filthy: there was faeces on the bathroom wall, holes in the walls, food scraps and crumbs on the floor, a long black hair in the cutlery drawer, and a dirty balcony. The heater and dryer filters were completely clogged. The only relief was that the sheets were clean. There were no spare blankets or pillows, no broom or vacuum, and the extra bed in the two-bedroom apartment was just a mattress on the floor. There were no condiments either, just an open bag of sugar. Getting in was a nightmare. Nobody was there to explain where to collect the key, and the man who answered the number we were given had only basic English, so we couldn't understand him. After three hours of going in and out of the foyer with luggage and small children, and four attempts to get help from a concierge who showed no empathy, we finally got the number for the key box. We had paid for three nights and felt like screaming and leaving. This was room 2806 at 38 Rose lane, 5th Apartments. I will keep posting about our experience until the person in charge agrees to a full refund. Since then, we were told someone had moved out just for the days we booked the apartment, and apparently that happens quite often. It's a way to earn extra money, but they should at least clean the place first. I hope this was just our nightmare.

Residents have been reporting the broken intercom to concierge, building management, and strata for more than four weeks. Emails and follow-ups have mostly gone unanswered, so people feel ignored. With Christmas getting closer, there still isn't a clear timeline or useful update, which is deeply disappointing. The intercom matters for security, deliveries, and visitors. Residents should be able to expect timely repairs, transparency, and accountability, but that hasn't been our experience.
