The Hamptons Apartments

The location was the only good part of this stay. Our bedroom carpet was soaked when we arrived, making the whole apartment stink. We reported it, but nothing was done. The internet was unreliable, and the living room TV was almost unusable: slow, small and unable to handle casting. The furnishings and appliances felt outdated too. Getting in was a nightmare. Our room and main entry code didn't work, and repeated calls to reception from different devices got nowhere on their local 03 number. We were left outside in cold weather and heavy rain with a toddler. There's no reception staff onsite. They need to fix the phone system, make sure codes work before sending them out, respond to complaints properly, and retrain reception staff, perhaps with someone onsite. The apartment needs updated furnishings, better TVs and appliances.

We found the apartment clean and comfortable, and the location made public transport easy to reach. Service staff dealt with any issues well. I'd happily book it again.

The location is great, and the property could be good, but it falls well short right now. It feels like management has run out of money and is trying to save every penny while spending nothing on upkeep or refurbishment. The place needs a complete redo. I wouldn't recommend staying until it's been refurbished and there's a new management company.

For GF weekend, prices elsewhere in the city were two or three times higher. This place had good views, comfortable beds and great showers that weren't restricted like they are at many other places. The tram stop was a 5-10 minute walk away. I'd stay again next time I'm in town.
