The Royce

As a marriage celebrant (Olivia Ferraro), I’ve had the honour of marrying couples in many beautiful places, and Terrace at the Royce Hotel is a hidden gem in Melbourne city. Its stylish black and white look and natural light make it a lovely romantic setting for an intimate micro wedding. I recently held a ceremony there, and the staff were a delight to work with. They quickly and smoothly changed the space from ceremony to lunch with little disruption for guests. Highly recommend it for a beautiful, cosmopolitan inner-city ceremony or wedding.

The unique French toast was especially delicious, and the rest of the food was fantastic too. We loved the bar’s finishes and decor. The rooms and facilities were clean, spacious and luxurious, and the staff were attentive, made us feel valued and never made anything difficult. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Royce. Dinner at the Showtime bar was a real surprise. Hotel restaurants can be disappointing, but this meal was superb and we’d recommend it even if you’re not staying at the hotel. We later heard the chef has won awards for his skills, which made sense. Our room was comfortable, and the staff made us feel welcome and valued. We were only in Melbourne for one night and had stayed at the Royce before. The elegant à la carte breakfast was delicious too.

The food, wine and cocktails we sampled all looked delicious, and service was prompt and professional. I was taken with the Royce hotel’s style and ambience during Hada’s bridal shower yesterday. Everything we saw was sparkling clean, with a lovely smell throughout, and we felt welcome the moment we walked in. I’d love to come back for a weekend, see the rooms and experience the whole hotel. I’ll definitely return for a couple of nights.
