The Sebel Melbourne Malvern

The apartment was quiet and comfortable, and having a dryer there was a real bonus. We also liked the gym, and the cleaning staff were lovely and friendly. The whole team made our stay easy and stress-free. Reception helped us store things on several occasions, print and scan documents, and organise deliveries. Nobody made us feel like a request was a bother. Everyone was welcoming from the moment we arrived, and the service was hard to fault. A special thanks to Pranav, who helped us most often. He was friendly, professional and always ready to help with a genuine smile. We’d gladly come back and recommend staying here. We had a wonderful time.

I come to Melbourne often and regularly stay here. The rooms are comfortable, the service is good, and the on-site parking is very handy. Parking can be a problem at many apartment hotels in the city.

The staff were friendly, and the room had a lovely view. But the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned properly, and that was honestly the least of my worries. We were here during a heatwave with our three-month-old. The only room that could fit the cot had no AC and was too hot for the baby to sleep in, so we moved the cot to the lounge and I slept on the couch. Moving it was a whole ordeal on its own. The cot wasn’t safe for sleep and was falling apart. I can live with some wear and tear, but the mattress wasn’t suitable for sleeping, so staff put in blankets that couldn’t be secured. If the baby moved around, they could come loose and pose a suffocation risk. We had to look around nearby shops and buy a safe portacot ourselves. Other Accor Group hotels I’ve stayed at had lovely portacots at different price points. This was beyond disappointing.

Our room was exactly what we needed while my wife had a medical procedure at Cabrini Hospital. When both lifts were being serviced, the staff were great and happily helped us out. We had a positive stay at the Sebel and would return if we needed to be in the area again.
