Vibe Hotel Melbourne

We enjoyed our last drinks at Fleet Rooftop Bar, taking in the amazing view. It’s a hidden treasure, with fabulous service and a view to die for. As always, Vibe Hotel was impressive, and we look forward to another stay. This time my husband had booked us a night for our anniversary, as we were going to a show that turned into two shows. After sorting out the car park code, Toby at the desk looked after us so well. He was helpful and gave some of the best service I’ve had in ages, making the stay memorable. When I saw him at checkout on Sunday, I told him how good the Michael Jackson experience show was and that a new show is coming in 2026. He was delighted and even helped me carry my bags down the few steps at the front. Thanks for making our night in town so great!

We had a fantastic view over the Yarra River and the city, and the whole stay was wonderful. The staff were warm, attentive and genuinely helpful. At breakfast, the woman in charge noticed the buffet had run out of butter, then quickly brought fresh butter straight to our table. That level of care, along with the hotel’s professionalism and attention to small details, made for a truly lovely experience. Thank you!

The location was generally good, with decent coffee downstairs and convenient parking in a car park just two doors away. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and the complimentary bottle of wine at check-in was a thoughtful touch. The hotel is well presented, and the rooftop bar is lovely. The room fell short, though. Something sticky and smelly had spilled on the in-room menu, and several trays used for organising items were dusty and dirty, with visible grime from previous spills. We put the “please clean” sign out each day, but glassware and coffee cups weren’t replaced until day three. The bathroom was spacious, but had very little bench space for getting ready and few hooks or racks for towels and clothes. We were also surprised to be told on Friday at lunchtime that the kitchen was closed and no food was available, despite the menu and room service information listing daily service times. Having to go out to find lunch in 42-degree heat was disappointing and poorly communicated.

On my second stay, reception staff were friendly and helpful from the start, and the shared areas felt exceptionally fresh and clean. My room on the 21st floor overlooked the river and southbank, with fabulous views across the city. It was well appointed, exceptionally clean and well serviced. The bar on the 22nd floor adds to the enjoyment. Shops, cafes and river attractions are all an easy walk away. Fabulous value for money.
