Waltzing Matilda Hotel

The gaming area was the one part that made me uneasy. Some patrons seemed clearly intoxicated and were hitting or slamming the machines. I was there with my elderly parents, who felt uncomfortable too, so it would be good to see security manage that space more actively. The rest of our family dinner at Waltzing Matilda was lovely. Michael and a young short-haired staff member whose name I missed were especially welcoming and attentive. We tried the steak specials, which were tasty for a pub meal, and the dining room had a great atmosphere. We enjoyed the night and appreciated the friendly service.

The Waltzing Matilda made our Christmas lunch a special day. It was a buffet, and the food was absolutely delicious. Everyone was in good seasonal spirits, and the staff were so friendly and lovely. I’d definitely book here again for Christmas lunch. Well done, and thank you.

Our app issue never did get resolved, but that wasn’t for lack of effort from Tim. He went to extraordinary lengths to help us, far beyond what was reasonable, and was a great assistant and manager. We really appreciate how hard he tried. Thank you, Tim.

Dylan made the visit to the Waltzing Matilda Pub for me. He welcomed me warmly and kept checking in, with an easygoing charm that still felt professional. When it got busy, he stayed calm and friendly and kept on top of everything. He knows the menu and drinks well, and his suggestions were spot on. He also kept the atmosphere upbeat without making any of it seem like effort. A really excellent experience.
