Leanne was such a warm, friendly person to chat and laugh with, and she really added to the meal. The ladies serving breakfast were lovely too, and breakfast was delicious. We stayed in the beautiful spa suite, with amazing scenery and a really relaxing atmosphere. The seven-course dinner was delicious and so filling. We had a great day and night. 😁

The high tea looked beautiful, and the sweet and savoury treats were delicious. Service stayed attentive without becoming too much, and the team made the afternoon lovely. We were celebrating a special family birthday and booked for six. One guest had complex dietary needs, so Woodmans Estate carefully noted everything, checked with the chef, and followed up by phone to confirm. The care started from the booking and carried through the whole afternoon. Highly recommended.

When we were already driving away after checkout, we saw Ashleigh hurrying down the very long driveway to catch us. She had a little parting gift, a bag of goodies. That really stuck with us, along with the jars of jam we’re still enjoying at home. Thank you so much! Ashleigh looked after us most of the time, made us feel at ease, and shared lots of ideas for places to visit when we come back with our kids. The estate was a wonderful place for our birthday in June, and the staff went out of their way to surprise us. We couldn’t have chosen a better spot for our special weekend. We also took a peaceful little row on the lake. We booked the package with a private guide for our first day, which I’d highly recommend. I’m almost reluctant to write this because we want to keep coming back for special occasions and hope it doesn’t get too popular and busy.

We sat outside by the lake for our ploughman’s lunch for two, on a lucky bright, cool day. Ducks bobbed among the reeds and lilies, and the scenery was so picturesque and calming. The wine was very good, and the food was excellent. We left full with some leftovers. Staff were welcoming, friendly, and attentive throughout. The elegant indoor spaces and beautiful outdoor surroundings are lovely, with short walks by the lakes and ponds. There are also chalets with balconies over the water and a spa and wellness centre for a weekend away. We’ll definitely return one day. It’s one of the world’s beautiful places.
