Yes Holiday Home surprised my wife and me with three cockroaches and a rat when we came in. Dinner was served, with plenty of company: we killed the cockroaches on the spot and roasted them over the open flame fireplace in our room. Delicious!!!! After our stomachs were pumped full of insect juice, the rat helped us get to bed. What a wild, wild, wild night with the rats' exotic expenditures. We slept like babies and would go back again, 5/5!!!!

🤢 I'm only giving this place one star so I can leave a review. Absolutely disgusting. 🤢 There were used undies right at the edge under the bed, stained bedding and dirty towels. There were no pillowcases, no tiles on the shower floor, and green seal stuff on the bathroom mat. The carpets and rugs were stained, and there was mould on the architraves. The front door didn't lock. 😠😡 It may have been a great place in its heyday, but avoid at all costs. I told friends it was basically as if schoolies had been living there for a year.

We couldn’t get a good night’s sleep because the heater was loud and barely warmed the room. It was cold after we switched it off. The bathroom sink water came out brown, though it was hot, and the sheets still had crumbs and bits from the last guest. Cockroaches were in both the bedroom and bathroom, and other guests were banging doors at 6:30 in the morning. We weren’t given a contact number by anyone, including the booking agent. To get the key, we had to open the big gate ourselves and knock at the front door after nobody responded to the horn. When we eventually reached Lucy, the Chinese lady, by phone, she rudely asked who we were and sent us back to her father, who doesn’t look after the place well. Better off staying at a pub.

The whole house smelled bad, and the host didn’t speak English. Our sheets had hair on them, and the room had a rough bare floor, with no carpet or tiles. The place is in the middle of nowhere.
