Kristine was our contact before the trip, and her quick, friendly, helpful replies felt like messages from a friend. The staff who welcomed us were just as lovely and helped us get settled. The apartment felt like a home away from home, with lots of space, bright rooms and everything we needed. We enjoyed the balcony and the quiet street, across from the lagoon and river that leads to the ocean. There’s a great bush walk along the shore, and the pool was ideal for cooling off and spending time together as a family. The apartment also had strong Wi-Fi, air conditioning in the living area, ceiling fans in the bedrooms, roomy bathrooms, covered onsite parking, a security camera and its own laundry. It was handy to log into my Netflix account on the living room TV, too. The three-night rate was such good value that I was amazed by it. The town centre is only a few minutes away by car, with cafes, clubs and supermarkets. Merimbula is also a convenient base for exploring nearby attractions or simply taking it easy. Bluewater Apartments is where I’d stay next time I want a holiday that still feels like being at home with friends.

Bluewater Apartments was our favourite of the seven places we stayed during a Sydney-Melbourne road trip. We spent three nights in a two-bedroom unit and loved it. The staff were extremely helpful, and the apartment had everything our family of three needed. The kids and we all had a great time, and we’d be very happy to stay again on another visit to Merimbula.

One evening we even saw resident kangaroos come for a drink in the garden. The street was peaceful, and Merimbula Main Street is still within walking distance. Our three-bedroom apartment was spotless, with a well-equipped kitchen and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It had more than enough room for our family of four. Our hosts were helpful and shared some great swimming and local fishing spots. We’d definitely recommend it if you’re after a quiet place to stay.

After busy days out, this was a lovely quiet place to come back to and relax. The rooms were spacious and very clean, and the town centre was an easy walk away. The managers were friendly and helpful. We’d stay again if we return to Merimbula for a family holiday.

The food festival was amazing, though absolutely packed. We had a great week in March with Louise and Steve, staying in a lovely, roomy unit where there was plenty of space to unwind. It’s a short walk to the Club and town. Merimbula has the best ice creams, and we still remember the food at both clubs. There’s lots to do nearby, with Eden, Pambula and Bega all an easy drive away.
