'Coast Villa 46' Fishpen

We were impressed from the moment we arrived at Coast Resort Merimbula. It made for a memorable coastal break, with comfortable accommodation, good facilities and a great location. The relaxed beachside feel and thoughtfully designed place really made it feel like a retreat. Our unit was spotless, beautifully furnished and felt like a home away from home. It had a full kitchen, laundry facilities and a private balcony that was lovely for morning coffee or a drink at sunset. There are different modern self-contained apartments, townhouses and penthouses at the resort, and many have views of the pool, gardens, lake or ocean. The grounds were beautifully kept, too. Everything felt clean and well maintained, including the details inside the apartment. There are two solar-heated swimming pools, a full-size tennis court and BBQ areas, along with landscaped gardens that feel like a peaceful oasis. It was easy to unwind there with family, friends or as a couple. The staff were friendly, professional and helpful, whether we had a question about local places or needed help with the resort facilities. Their warm welcome added to the stay. The resort sits on a beautiful two-hectare site between Merimbula Lake and Merimbula Beach, on the Sapphire Coast. Water views, scenic walks and sunny days at the beach are right nearby, and town is a short stroll away for cafes, restaurants, shops and local attractions. There are also coastal trails, lookouts, golf courses and fishing spots in the area. Being near town while still having peace and quiet was a real plus. Every part of the stay, from the roomy, well-equipped accommodation to the facilities and service, exceeded our expectations. We can’t wait to return, and would recommend it for a family holiday, a romantic escape or a break with friends.

The reception team were so friendly and helpful, and the appliances all worked properly. Everything was extremely clean too. The location made getting around easy: the front beach is about a two minute walk, the lake just one minute, and the Main Rd shops around five to ten minutes away. We had a wonderful time and will definitely return.

There’s a lovely cafe just around the next corner, and the staff were very nice and helpful. The resort sits right across from the main beach, away from the busy town, with basketball and netball courts and a skate park nearby. The grounds are well cared for and include two pools, while the apartments themselves are spacious.

Our three-bedroom apartment was roomy, clean and fully equipped. The beach and creek are only a short stroll away, and the location and size left us impressed. The ocean view, though, was very limited despite the apartment being described to us as an ocean-view unit. There was no access to an EV charger.
