The kitchen had plenty of crockery and glassware, and the location made it easy to get around. I loved the renovated bathroom, especially the showerhead and skylight, and the electric blanket on the main bed was a nice bonus. The apartment was much bigger than I'd expected, spotless, and had spectacular views from the lounge and upstairs balcony. Thanks, Lisa, we'd definitely stay again and recommend it.

The view was excellent, but the rest of the apartment didn't live up to it. I've never rated anywhere below four stars before, but this stay warranted it. We found chocolate wrappers scattered through my daughter's supposedly clean sheets, an apple core under the bed, and someone else's pass to Magic Mountain in her room. The explanation was that the previous guests were a couple and hadn't used that bedroom. During COVID times, I expected at least a check that it was clean, or perhaps a change of everything just in case. The previous guests had reported that the dishwasher wasn't working, then left all the plates, bowls and glasses dirty in the cupboard. I spent our first evening washing them. The frypan in the cupboard was disgusting and unusable too. The apartment has a fake luxury feel. Turn the taps on too quickly and you'll get drenched. The TV is impossible to hear while someone showers. Once, the shower switched itself on in the middle of the night, and there was nothing we could do to turn it off. The bathrooms are dated, and the holes in the walls don't match the online images, which leave those areas out of the photos. I wouldn't have written this if Lisa had followed up after I raised these problems. We stayed nine nights, so there was plenty of time to get in touch and sort things out. She only replied that she was at a wedding, with no further follow-up. Unless you can get a great discount, save your money and stay somewhere else.

An easy 10-minute walk gets you to the main drag or the Merimbula Board Walk. We had a really good one-night stay, with plenty of space for two people and a dog. The bedrooms are upstairs, and although there was no heater in the main bedroom, the bed had an electric blanket. The pillows were too hard for me, though that's personal preference. It would've been helpful to have shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. There's a second toilet downstairs.
