The apartment itself had a lot going for it: modern, clean and well equipped, with comfy beds, good air conditioning and friendly staff. The location was decent too. But using the TVs was often difficult, the dryer was impossible to operate, and some of the glasses broke very easily. The outside setup was the biggest letdown. The car park is cramped, linear and has no walkway, which feels dangerous with young children. The pool is tiny, gets too busy once three or four families are there, and was mostly unshaded during our trip. There are no handrails to help people get in or out, and the narrow area around it becomes extremely slippery when wet. There’s no greenery and no space for chairs or sun loungers. With more thought put into the design, this place could be much better. It has a lot of potential, which makes the poor layout a shame.

The hotel is fairly new, spacious and generally clean, and the location is convenient and fairly quiet. Those things made the stay comfortable, but several service issues left us disappointed. Apparently there’s no room service and towels aren’t replaced on Sundays. Reception didn’t tell us at check-in. We only found a note in the information booklet later that evening saying towels need to be requested in advance on Sundays and public holidays. By the time we saw it, it was about 8:45 pm. The room phone wasn’t connected, and although the elevator listed reception hours as 9 am to 9 pm, the desk was already closed when we went down. We couldn’t get clean towels that night. The shower pressure was extremely low, making it uncomfortable to shower, and the bathroom didn’t seem to have proper ventilation. The new facilities and location give the hotel potential, but the poor communication and basic service problems made our visit disappointing.

The staff were lovely, and I enjoyed my stay in this clean, modern place. I found the kitchenette handy too. Secure parking is limited, though there are extra off-street spaces right beside the fenced car park, clearly marked “Quest”.

For a family trip to Mildura, we really cared about the pool, and it was a huge disappointment. It’s tiny, and after five or six people get in, that’s about it. The surrounding space is narrow and slippery, with barely room for sun loungers. There were only three, and even those felt crammed in. Apart from a bush, there’s no greenery, so the whole area feels like a concrete desert. It seems the car park was made bigger at the pool’s expense. There’s no walkway to the pool, so you have to cross the car park to get back to the apartment entrance. It feels poorly planned and potentially dangerous when busy. The parking is a one-lane, narrow strip. If there’s no space, you have to reverse out, and there’s no walkway for small children.
