River City Motel

The room was spotless and welcoming, with clean linen, towels, soap and shampoo, and daily housekeeping. There was plenty of bench and sink space, power points, crockery and cutlery, along with a clean minibar fridge, toaster and kettle. It was easy to make coffee, tea and meals. The shower pressure was great, and the room was comfortable and good value. The older box-style air conditioners were a bit noisy at times, but kept the room cool and we slept well. Jeanette and her husband were wonderful hosts, and the staff were extremely friendly. They take real pride in the property. We got a room at short notice, and I can’t thank the managers enough for the customer service. There’s heaps of parking, at least one or two spots per room, and a well-kept pool to cool off in on the 32-35°C days we were there. The shaded lawn and tables in the rear yard were lovely. Coles is next door, and there’s a pub with restaurant dining across the road. The location is fairly central and convenient. The road noise at night was annoying. It sounded like a local trailbike hoon was going street by street around Mildura, waking residents repeatedly late at night and early in the morning. I feel for the owners, as I don’t think there’s much they can do about it. I’d have no hesitation returning if I plan ahead next time. Highly recommend for a stopover or holiday in Mildura. ❤️
