Merimbula Lake Holiday Park

Wild kangaroos, ducks, swamp hens, cockatiels, big trees and starry skies gave the place a relaxed feel. The roos can look pretty scary in the dark, but they hop away. And there’s roo poo everywhere, so good luck stopping your dog from tasting it or rolling in it! We had a powered site for our camp trailer, with plenty of room, clear markers, and flat, healthy grass. Even after some heavy rain, the ground soaked it up quickly. The lighting at night was useful without being intrusive. The amenities and camp kitchen were spotless. Staff were excellent and kept us informed by text well ahead of a temporary water shutoff for maintenance. It’s quiet, private and peaceful while still being close to everything on the Sapphire Coast. Merimbula or Pambula is only a quick drive, about five minutes max, and there was little to no road noise.

The only small snag was that the showers got a bit cold and dribbly when everyone was using them at once. It wasn’t enough to affect our rating, and the staff were super friendly. We stayed over the Xmas period with several other families, and the park kept all our sites together. The large, level, grassy sites were a real bonus. Everything looked well cared for, from the modern, tidy amenities to the rest of the grounds, and the team clearly take pride in maintaining it. The location was just right, about 3-4min to Pambula and 10 mins to Merimbula, with a lovely quiet feel.

Kangaroos and ducks even come by for a visit, and the wifi worked well from any site. We stayed in our caravan on a lovely powered grass site, with level, spacious pitches and enough room between caravans to enjoy the acreage and distant views. The grounds are well kept and the amenities were very clean. It’s just outside Pambula and about 15 minutes south of Merimbula. A great park to enjoy, highly recommended.

There was loads of space between the flat grassy pitches, and the staff were lovely. It’s a beautiful area and a really nice campsite. The cleanliness was the standout for me, the cleanest site I’ve stayed at, with a big thanks to the cleaner. I was sad to leave, but I’m sure I’ll come back.
