The breakfasts were magnificent, and the kitchen had everything we needed to make them. Our room was neat and clean, with a combustion fireplace that made it feel cosy and relaxing. Kane was friendly and very knowledgeable at the cellar door, and the wines were delicious and good value. Julie and her team at Reillys Cottages made the stay a great experience. It's a great base for exploring the area, highly recommended.

The fireplace was good, and it's close to the pub. The room was quiet, clean and spacious enough. Shower was nice, though the shower head needs its restriction removed.

We really enjoyed visiting the winery and trying the beautiful wines with the cheese board. Breakfast had great options, and they were lovely about accommodating gluten free for me. The cosy cottage had all the amenities we needed, and the host was warm and welcoming. It was a lovely getaway for me and my partner. A couple of things could have been clearer: we weren't given a formal check-out handover or warned about the lack of wifi and phone signal in the region. The pillows also weren't very comfortable. There aren't many places to eat nearby, and the Magpie & Stump was a disappointment, so plan ahead. Otherwise, we had a great experience.

Mintaro is a quaint town, lovely for a quiet walk. We had a wonderful few nights in the three bedroom Thompson's Residence with my family, and it made a great base for exploring everything the valley has to offer. Even on cold nights the combustion heater worked beautifully, and there was heating in the rear sunroom. It was a lovely place to sit with coffee or a few glasses of wine and watch the birdlife in the garden. The bathroom is brand new with a great bathtub, and the kitchen had plenty of provisions for breakfast each day. Super spot to relax.

We stayed in the Priests Cottage, an old place that's quiet, comfortable and well equipped. It isn't a modern 5 star room, but the little touches were appreciated, like plunger coffee and decent wine glasses. The wood combustion heater was much better than the artificial heat from reverse cycle air con in the very chilly conditions. Our three night package came with breakfast provisions for three mornings. There was more than enough, and at check-in they said to ask if we ran out. We didn't need to, but it says a lot about the customer service. We got a friendly greeting at Reillys winesales and had a great stay. The Magpie and Stump pub is a very short walk away. Go for a meal, the pub grub is great and the service cheerful and friendly. The new owners are trying really hard. Little out of the way places like Mintaro can really use the tourist dollar, so visit, kick back and enjoy.
