Melrose Motel

I found this place while searching for pet-friendly accommodation in Mittagong. I was driving from Melbourne to Brisbane, the weather had turned nasty, and it was getting dark and late. I needed somewhere for me and my pooch to stop and rest. The person who answered the phone was so welcoming, and the owner kindly didn’t charge extra for my puppy. Our room was clean, cosy, and comfortable, with everything we needed after a long day on the road. It’s in a great location, the beds were good, and it was quiet and very puppy-friendly. Thanks for having us, I’d happily recommend it.

We could check in whenever suited us thanks to the keyless entry, and it’s close to town and the things you need. The place felt sweet and homey as soon as we came in. Although the room is a little dated, it was nicely painted, clean, tidy, and presented well. The lights and heater had been switched on for us, which was lovely with it about 10°C outside. It was peaceful with little road noise. We’d book again if we came this way.

Melrose Place has a retro feel and good quality for an affordable price. The furnishings are stylish, the service was excellent, and the advice on where to eat was superb. Book direct to save.

This worked well as an overnight stop after I drove from Melbourne, dropped off a customer order, and continued towards Canberra. The room was clean and the shower nice and hot. My only issue was the TV, which wouldn’t connect to any channels. I thought it might just be my room, but a friend had the same problem about eight weeks earlier. I’d stay again since the self check-in code makes arriving at any time easy. Hopefully the TV is sorted by then.
