Best Western Grand Country Lodge Motel

I found it hard to come up with anything to dislike, and I’ll stay again. The room was warm when I arrived, with the owner having turned on the heater in both the room and bathroom, as well as in the corridors. The owner was quite polite, and sent an SMS with a code for the outside door in case you forget your key after hours. The room was large and clean, with a comfortable bed, good hot water and shower pressure, and effective block-out curtains. It had a microwave, fridge, jug, cups, glasses, spoons, tea, coffee and milk. There’s underground parking, an easy-to-navigate car park with enough spaces, and street parking if it’s full. Downstairs there’s a lounge with TV, writing desk, printer, and coffee and hot chocolate machine. Hand sanitizer bottles were at the entrance and on every floor.

I was driving from Hoppers Crossing to Sydney without stopping and eventually couldn’t go any further. A Google search led me to this outstanding accommodation, and I’m glad it did. The room was within budget, very clean and well appointed, and the front staff were absolutely outstanding. I’d highly recommend stopping here if you’re travelling.

The room was really clean and warm, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. A fantastic place to stay when visiting Mittagong.

The staff were helpful, but the room and outdoor area weren’t clean. The towel was stained, and the water came out brown the first time I used the bathroom. The hotel needs a makeover.
