Warwick and Barbara have restored the beautiful old bank in Mittagong in a way unlike any restoration we’ve seen. The details are exquisite, with rooms full of character and more space and luxury than the lovely photos suggest. This is the most beautiful hotel we’ve ever visited, in this hemisphere or Europe, and to us it easily surpasses the other places in the Southern Highlands. The hosts are warm and generous, and the hospitality is unrivalled. A privilege to stay, worth every penny. Gorgeous.

We were really impressed by the restoration, which feels perfectly done. Every room is decorated with a huge variety of antiques and local historical pieces. The team took wonderful care of us, and the home-cooked breakfasts and good coffee were lovely. Thank you!

The owners made us feel looked after from booking right through to checkout, always checking whether we needed anything. We stayed two lovely nights, and the room was beautifully furnished and very clean. The soft, high thread-count sheets made for a great sleep, and there were plenty of clean white towels and amenities for both of us. It was nearly 40 degrees outside, but the air conditioning cooled the room nicely. We also had a fridge, kettle, tea, coffee, lots of capsules for the coffee machine, biscuits and milk. There was a huge selection of DVDs downstairs, plus two sitting rooms with lovely lounges. It would be a great place for a weekend away with a few couples. The owners welcomed us warmly and really couldn’t have done more.

We chose The Old Bank Hotel for our first anniversary and baby moon, and it was everything we’d hoped for and then some. The website photos really don’t do it justice. Everything was spotless, the bed and pillows were so comfortable, and the bathroom was well equipped. I especially loved the heated floor and towel rack, and the thick, soft bathrobes. The staff went out of their way to make our stay special. Our room was too small for two massage tables and the therapists, so they let us use their office for an hour for a couples massage. Mittagong’s “best kept secret” deserves your business during this challenging time.

Barb and Warwick were wonderfully accommodating hosts and made sure our stay went smoothly. We held our wedding reception at The Old Bank, then my wife and I stayed the night. The hotel’s beautiful decor and attention to detail, the genuinely friendly staff, and the delicious meals all made the occasion amazing. I’d highly recommend it for a luxurious stay that still has the comfort and charm of home.
