Captain's Cottage Bed & Breakfast

The cottage sits right on the river, surrounded by lush forest and lots of birdlife. My husband and I spent three nights at the Captain's Cottage in April with our very active dog and our neighbours, and loved it. Lynne and Chris were warm, welcoming hosts, and handled our dietary restrictions at breakfast exceptionally well. The accommodation was extremely clean, cosy, and comfortable. There were plenty of pillow options, extra blankets for cooler nights, and working air conditioning and heating. We can’t recommend the place highly enough.

With two dogs, we stayed for nearly a week and absolutely loved it. The rooms are separate from the main house, so it’s unbelievably quiet and privacy was never an issue. There’s plenty of space, and the hosts take care of everything. Great food, views, wine, and conversation. Definitely consider staying here if you’re passing through Moama.

We stayed at this B&B in June 2016 and thoroughly enjoyed the relaxed, tranquil feel of the place and its surroundings. The breakfasts were gorgeous, with a nice touch of something different. The hosts were congenial, and being able to bring our dog made the stay even more comfortable. My husband and I would highly recommend it. Well done, Chris and Lyn. We’ll see you again.

Captains Cottage on the banks of the Murray was a very relaxing place to stay. We enjoyed sitting and watching the boats go past, and the beds were comfortable with modern facilities. The cooked breakfast was delicious. Many thanks to Lynne and Chris for their hospitality.
