Mayfield on Montville

We loved the view and the birds in the morning, though the blackout curtains mean you can sleep in too. The rooms are spacious, clean and tidy, and the place is right in the centre of town without being noisy. Parking was easy. We drove down to Palmwoods, about 10 minutes away, for takeaway pizza one night and ate at Ricks Garage another. A lovely place to stay and visit, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mayfield on Montville.

The ocean view rooms were a highlight, with loads of space and a huge deck to sit on. We slept comfortably and loved the spa bath. We had a great stay and will definitely come back. Hands down, the best view in montville.

The apartment was gorgeous and spacious, with views stretching right to the sea. We also woke up to a fabulous sunrise, and otherwise had a perfect stay in a beautiful area. One part was disappointing: we were directed to collect our key from the Montville Mountain Inn, where we've stayed many times before. The woman at reception was quite rude and unpleasant. In a role like that, I expected a welcoming manner, not to be spoken to as though we were annoying children. Thank you.

For our one-night visit, the convenience stood out: there are several good places to eat nearby and everything we needed was within walking distance. Communication with management was clear and prompt, so check-in and check-out went smoothly, and the underground parking kept our car secure. Inside, the unit was tastefully furnished, spacious and very clean. We also enjoyed the beautiful view. It was a comfortable, pleasant short stay, and we'd recommend it to others looking for somewhere convenient.
