The staff were friendly and attentive, and our unit was clean and spacious, so it suited all kinds of visitors. Beachcomber on the Spit is right by the ocean, with short walks to different types of surf. We absolutely loved staying here and highly recommend it.

We spent eight great days here. The rooftop gave us extra room to entertain family, but also somewhere to enjoy some quiet time. The beach access was excellent, and the pool and other facilities were great. The place was spacious and very well located. The gardens were kept in good shape, which shows the hosts care about everyone. Thanks to our welcoming, caring hosts Ri and Ed.

The location is excellent, right on the beach and near shops and restaurants, and the building managers provided great service. The apartments are functional, but need ongoing maintenance and a basic facelift before I’d call this a five-star place. New couches and beds, a paint job, easier TVs for the kids to watch Netflix on, and a pod coffee machine wouldn’t cost too much. My particular problems were unreliable, poor internet, old TVs that didn’t reliably connect to Netflix and similar services, a broken intercom buzzer, and a BBQ that didn’t work. For $5,000 a week, those things should work, and the apartment shouldn’t look like it’s from the 90s. If you’re willing to put up with that, you get a functional place in a great location.

Trees blocked the beach view from our unit and balcony. That didn’t spoil our stay, though. The private roof terrace was a splendid place to spend time, with a full-size lounge suite, dining table and BBQ.
