Moonta Bay Caravan Park

The villa was laid out well and had everything we needed. The location is hard to beat, and we’re so happy to have found a new holiday destination. The staff really made the trip for us, especially the lovely lady who processed our booking. We felt very lucky to have met her. Thank you!

The upper level has a lovely outlook across the bay, with grassed lawns, a BBQ area and a clean, tidy amenities block. We’ve travelled more than 3,000 klms so far. Sadly, we had to pay the same fee again for our second car, even though the park was almost empty. We’ve sold our home in Darwin, and this was a double with only three vans on the upper level.

The receptionist was extremely rude. We’d paid for three nights, then at 3pm on the third day were asked to move sites because they’d double-booked the final night. I was happy to take a refund for that night and leave, but they said there’d be no manager until Monday and that they would refund us then. Management later said we’d been notified by text, but they’d sent it to the wrong number. There was no apology and no refund, and we were spoken to horribly. Definitely won’t return or recommend the place.

There’s a cafe and restaurant close to the park, which was a nice bonus. It’s a great waterfront location near the jetty, with a lovely neat and tidy park, large sites and clean ablutions. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
