Argyle Hotel Southern Highlands

We loved our stay and will be back. The Argyle Hotel has old world charm alongside modern comfort, with spacious, beautifully renovated rooms, great food, and a brilliant location. It’s a lovely place to stop and break up the trip to the Gold Coast.

The food was amazing. We ordered the steak sandwich and the parmi and honestly couldn’t fault either. Staff greeted us so warmly when we came in, which made for a great start. We’d definitely return.

Damo gave us an interesting chat about the pub’s history, and the steaks were great, with even better service. We’d popped a truck tire three hours from our destination, but luckily The Argyle was only ten minutes up the road. Damo and Mikayla found us two rooms for the night. Highly recommend!

If you like getting sleep, don’t stay here. My boyfriend booked a room so we’d be near a wedding we were attending, but when we got back at midnight, music was blaring through the building. The room was small and overpriced, which would’ve been fine, but it smelled weird and the bathroom needs updating. The atmosphere felt unsettling outside, in the pub, and in the room. We ended up leaving and driving home. Not a vibe, wouldn’t recommend.
