Andy and Jade made the stay especially memorable. They were attentive, cheerful, and on top of all the little details, with a real sense that nothing was too much trouble. Peter in the pro shop was just as helpful, moving our tee time to fit around us and a big school group, then coming straight out when our cart had trouble on the first hole. We were at Dormie House for a two-day Crazy Golf package at Moss Vale Golf Club. We were welcomed warmly, and even got an upgrade to a spacious, spotless room looking over the course and the surrounding scenery. Breakfast was included and delicious, and both lunch and dinner were generous and very good. Having the clubhouse and pro shop right there made it easy to pick up our clubs and cart. A fantastic experience from beginning to end. We’d happily recommend Dormie House, Moss Vale Golf Club, and Crazy Golf Deals, and hope to return soon. Mike Lanzing & Susan Nicholls

The staff were so welcoming and helpful. We really enjoyed breakfast in the dining room, simple and tasty. Our room had a pretty view over the golf course, and it was nicely equipped, with a lovely bathroom and a comfortable bed and pillows. It’s an old guesthouse, but the accommodation has been updated and feels lovely. We had a great stay and would highly recommend it.

Andy really went out of his way to make sure we had a lovely time, and everyone was friendly and welcoming. We stayed over Anzac weekend with my husband and our two year old. The guesthouse is charming and cosy, and our room was spacious and clean. We’ll definitely be back, this time with the rest of the family.

The only thing I liked in the room was the heated bathroom tiles. For $1100, I expected a lot more. The renovated room was tiny and claustrophobic, and its windows had locks and seemed painted shut. The listing said there’d be a 50 inch TV, but the one there was a little 28 inch set in an awkward corner mount, hard to watch from bed or anywhere else. There was no toaster or microwave in the room, just a mini fridge and kettle. There wasn’t even a shared guest room with a microwave, so I had to take my food down to the restaurant kitchen and ask them to heat it. Carrying my luggage up the stairs was a pain too, since there’s no elevator, not even a small one. The shower wouldn’t stay hot and kept turning cold. When I told reception, they said it was an old building and everyone showered at the same time. What, does everyone shower at 5:00am? I don’t think so. The listing was very misleading. You can find cheaper rooms elsewhere that have these things and more.

Moss Vale Golf course was in excellent shape and gave our group a good challenge. We booked a stay and play for 16, and Dormie House worked really well for us. The renovated rooms were roomy and comfortable, and the bathroom floor heating was especially nice on a cold morning. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the two course dinner and breakfast each day were delicious. The place has a lovely atmosphere. I’d definitely recommend it for a golfing group.
