Breakfast was a real treat, with homemade croissants, jams and fruit spreads, yogurt, and honey fresh from their farm. I only got two nights at Mossman Gorge B&B, and wished I could have stayed longer. Mandy and Chris made it a lovely visit and kept in touch well. The pool was open all day, so it was easy to fit in an evening swim. I also loved sitting out on the veranda with a cocktail and relaxing, especially while it rained.

Rain made the stay unforgettable. I could hear water falling through the rainforest outside my window, and I still dream about that sound. Mandy made me feel at home as soon as I arrived, and brought out a filling breakfast with fresh local fruit and pastries. From breakfast I could look over the rainforest and mountains, with birds coming and going at the feeder. The whole place felt magical and cozy. I love it, and whenever I'm near Mossman I'll stay here again without hesitation. There's also a little pool if you fancy a swim and dance party. :)

Mandy knows so much about the local plants and wildlife, and gave us useful ideas for sightseeing. We spent five nights with Mandy and Chris, who were fabulous hosts. The balcony breakfasts, with birds to watch, were a highlight. It’s also a handy base for Mossman Gorge, Port Douglas, the Daintree and further afield. We'd definitely recommend staying here, and hope we can come back one day.

Breakfast on the balcony, with all the birds around, was fabulous, and I loved the homemade jam, bread and honey. That honey was the best I've ever had, and it's coming home with me to the Sunshine Coast. I haven't stayed at many B&Bs, but this was a lovely experience. The bed was so comfortable, the linen was great, and the pillows decent, which made for a wonderful night's sleep. The balcony view and atmosphere were lovely too. Thank you, Mandy and Chris. I'd highly recommend staying here.

We were happy to spend five nights in this beautiful home and would go back in a heartbeat. The house was immaculate, and there was so much to take in with the decor, library, grounds and scenery. Mandy and Chris were a pleasure to meet. Mandy did a lot to make the stay feel like our own little Shangri-La, and helped with dinner and activity bookings. She also had recommendations tailored to our interests. She and Chris, who helps on weekends, know a great deal about the local flora and fauna, especially the birds. Breakfast came with hot baked pastries, cereal, toast and jams, juice, and a big bowl of diced tropical fruit. If you're lucky, a resident kookaburra might drop by. The bed was made and towels re-hung or replaced when we returned. Make time for a walk through the garden and a look at the scenery from The Lookout. In the warm season, a dip in the pool would be refreshing. We'd recommend a trip to the Great Barrier Reef via Port Douglas, the drive to Cape Tribulation, and the Daintree River Crocodile Cruise. Port Douglas is worth a stop for shops and restaurants too. If you're there on a Sunday, check out the Port Douglas Market and try the fresh sugar cane juice. It's fantastic. We had such a good experience here, and would gladly recommend the place to family and friends.
