The animals and farm life made this such a lovely break from the usual routine, and it was great that we could bring our dog too. The place was quiet and the scenery was beautiful. Our accommodation was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed, with a nice mix of rustic character and modern comforts. We left feeling rested and are already keen to come back.

The cabin was spacious and clean, with two levels: two single beds, a bathroom, kitchen, and sitting area downstairs, and the main bed, maybe a king, plus another bathroom upstairs. We were also given bacon, eggs, milk, and cereal, which came in handy as dinner after the drive. I even had a quick chat with a few goats, and we had to watch for rabbits on our way out. We arrived just before sunset and left before sunrise, so I can only speak to the cabin itself. It was a straightforward overnight stop, though the half-used tomato sauce bottle, damaged fridge door, and blocked upstairs shower head stood out. I scrubbed the shower head to clear it. Apart from those minor issues, we showered, ate, slept, and got back on the road. My wife and I were driving from Melbourne to Brisbane at short notice, and Albury was full because of the Red Hot Summer concert, which was bad timing for us. We searched nearer Sydney and found Hillview Farmstay. Booking and payment online were easy, confirmation came through, and the instructions to the loft cabin were clear. The farm's position beside the Hume Hwy made it easy to find, and the cabin was unlocked for contactless entry. We enjoyed the brief visit and know we missed out on much of what makes a farmstay special. If we come back, we'd stay longer and try the farm activities.

We’re already booked in for another visit. Our dome tent at Hillview Farm was roomy, comfortable, and had all we needed for us and our two dogs. The stars were lovely to look at, and the showers had great water pressure. Couldn't fault the stay.

We had a great time exploring the farm, and there was plenty for the kids to do around the animals. Donna and her partner were friendly and welcoming, and the service and open space were a big part of what we enjoyed. Breakfast was included and convenient. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, and the location worked well for our family. The one-bedroom cottage bathroom was a bit too small for our family, though it didn't spoil the stay. We'd happily come again. For a visit, September brings baby goats, while summer lets you use all the amenities. Staying more than two nights gives you more time to enjoy it. Animal feeding is at 8:30am, and you can walk down Farm Rd to the dam. Junee Chocolate & licorice is a 50-minute drive away.

The goats in the paddock were lovely, but the stay itself was a letdown. The host felt very unwelcoming, the bed wasn't comfortable, and the bedroom had no air conditioning. Cooking was difficult with the cheap kitchen kit and utensils. We expected a pleasant stopover and didn't get one.
