Room 9 was tidy and clean, with none of the musty smell you get in some motels. It looks like it’s been renovated recently. I’ve stayed in a few places around Bright, Myrtleford and Mount Beauty, and this one was a little pricey for our stay. When we arrived at 2pm there was nobody at reception, since Whitney doesn’t live on site. She can only be reached by mobile, and calls usually go to voicemail, so getting hold of her could be difficult in an emergency or urgent situation. Mobile reception is unreliable: Telstra was usable, but Vodafone had no signal at all. Aside from that, we were happy with our room and would recommend considering this motel.

The room had everything needed for a comfortable stay, and it was good value for money. The motel’s well placed near the pondage and Mt Beauty’s main street, with its great cafes, and there are decent views too.

Whitney was a wonderful host and managed to accommodate our special needs. The rooms are clean, modern and comfortable, and the area is peaceful and beautiful. It’s a very affordable option compared with Falls Creek. I’d happily recommend staying here, especially for the host. Thanks so much!

After an overnight hike up Mt Feathertop, this was a clean, comfortable and quiet place to stay. Everything is within walking distance, and I’d definitely come back to visit the breweries. Thank you, Whitney.

Whitney, the manager, was really helpful and gave me some of the best customer service I’ve had in a long time. Thanks for helping me out. It’s a great spot, and only a short drive up to falls.
