Kelly made us feel welcome and was so helpful. The pool was lovely and cold, just right for cooling off. We noticed mine workers staying there, but they didn’t affect our visit. The bathroom is dated, though clean and tidy. There’s a buffet dinner too, which we didn’t try.

We really liked AAOK Moondarra. The mess is open to campers, with an all-you-can-eat meal for $35, since the park also hosts FIFO workers. There are both shady and sunny sites, and the washing machines and dryers are free. It’s a quiet spot that’s still handy to Mt Isa, with really friendly, helpful staff. One of the best caravan parks we’ve stayed at. Well done.

There’s a lovely pool, and the restaurant and bar are amazing for a place tucked into the bush. The grounds have a rustic charm, and the staff are friendly. Facilities were spotless too.

The reception woman was incredibly kind and helped us so much when we had trouble with our van. We’re really grateful, thank you 🙏 The campground itself is clean, quiet, and feels safe. There’s a pool, it welcomes dogs, and it’s near both the lake and the city. No shouting or music all night like at the other Mount Isa campground where we’d stayed before.

We left our van here for the weekend while we flew to Brisbane for a wedding, and felt it was safe and secure. The amenities are reasonable. I’d recommend it.
