The Owner and staff were so welcoming, and the pub meal was one of the best I’ve had in ages. We stopped at the Bellum Hotel overnight while travelling to Alice Springs with three caravans. Definitely worth pulling in if you’re nearby.

The owners even got my bag back to me in Sydney after I left it in the bar. We had a great night camping out the back at the bellum hotel, with a fun vibe, lovely people, great service, burgers and beers. They also let us use a shower in one of the empty rooms. If we’re ever back in the neighbourhood, we’ll come again!

The food is generous and delicious, and the place has such a friendly, eclectic feel. I love the little lounge, and the staff are lovely. It’s my favourite pub in Mt Gambier. Just wish there were a courtesy bus or something.

After a long day at the beach, our tasty food came out quickly, and the portions were generous. It wasn’t too loud, either. We took both our dogs and sat in the beer garden. Another great meal at the Bellum, and we’ll definitely be back.

The refurb is impressive, and I could spend all day reading and laughing at the signs. We’d heard the pub had changed hands and been done up, and wow, what a difference. Drop in for a drink or a feed on your way to Little Blue Lake, and have a chat with Meg.
